Amar is Chief Executive of Youth Action UK, an award-winning youth development agency championing empowerment, youth voice, safeguarding, and social justice both in the UK and internationally. Widely recognised as a leading authority on youth engagement, inclusion, governance, and EDI, Amar has a proven track record of steering organisations through strategic transformation, complex risk environments, and high-stakes regulatory oversight. His leadership is defined by integrity, clarity of purpose, and a deep commitment to inclusive, values-led practice.
Amar is a trusted advisor to some of the UK’s most influential institutions. He currently serves on the Board of BBC Children in Need in the North West and is an Expert Advisor to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). He is a former Board Member of In Kind Direct, the national charity founded by HM King Charles III, and a Global Master Facilitator for the British Council, where he has led programmes in 34 countries on governance, leadership, and strategic leadership. Amar brings a rare blend of strategic foresight and operational alignment and is a dedicated mentor to emerging leaders across the civil society, public, and international development sectors.
