Daniel Valentine

Daniel Valentine is Chair of Lovey Foundation UK, an international charity which rescues child workers in Ghana and empowers them into full time education. Daniel leads the charity's work on fundraising and partnership.  Daniel is also Head of Communications at the Chartered Governance Institute, leading on all media relations, internal communications, branding, reputation and engagement activity.  Over the last 25 years Daniel has worked for some of the world's leading organisations, as both an inhouse manager and as a consultant. Daniel studied at the Universities of Oxford, St. Andrews, and King's College London. He is a Member of the Royal Historical Society, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Daniel has authored two books on financial communications and industrial economics, and has raised more than £6million for good causes. In December 2019, Daniel won the AAE prize for "Best Social Media Campaign" for designing and launching the "This is Engineering" campaign, the first ever UK-wide advertising campaign to promote engineering careers to young people. In June 2025 Daniel was shortlisted for "Trustee of the Year" by the Kent Charity Awards.
