Dr Duncan Bootland

Dr. Duncan Bootland oversees clinical leadership and strategic development for KSS, one of the UK’s most active Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMs). Since joining the organisation in 2013, Dr. Bootland has played a pivotal role in enhancing the delivery of pre-hospital critical care, driving innovation, and ensuring timely, expert intervention for patients across the region.

Dual-accredited in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care, Dr. Bootland also serves as a Consultant at the Major Trauma Centre in Brighton. His experience encompasses both hospital-based emergency care and pre-hospital emergency medicine, reflecting a career dedicated to improving patient outcomes in critical situations. Beyond his clinical roles, Dr. Bootland is an enthusiastic educator and mentor. His commitment to education and clinical excellence continues to influence the next generation of emergency physicians.
