Michelle Mitchell OBE

Michelle Mitchell OBE is one of the most influential leaders in the UK charity sector, with a career spanning over two decades and a legacy of transforming multiple not-for-profit organisations to better their purpose and global impact. 

Since 2018, Michelle has been responsible for the leadership and direction of Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. She has helped put the charity on a strong footing to achieve its vision of a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. 

Michelle is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Cambridge’s Homerton College and was awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to the charity sector.
