Head of Anti‑Racism, Equity & Inclusion, Shelter

Mulima Muyunda is the Head of Anti‑Racism, Equity & Inclusion at Shelter and Shelter Scotland, where she leads on supporting the organisation to embed anti‑racism, equity and inclusion into its culture, systems, and processes at every level.

She has extensive experience delivering anti‑racism and wider inclusion strategies across the housing sector and the NHS, helping organisations turn good intentions into practical action.

Central to her work is the belief that anti‑racism is a shared responsibility, and that organisations should set clear, achievable priorities that can withstand both external and internal pressures. She encourages leaders and colleagues to be pragmatic and committed, ensuring that initiatives to tackle racism are realistic and capable of creating lasting change.
